Reservations & New Guests

Getting started is simple.

Four steps from "I'd like to book a stay" to a confirmed reservation. New dogs need a quick temperament test before joining a group — it's free and takes about 4 hours. Below is the whole process plus our policies on health, behavior, and payment so there are no surprises at check-in.

The Registration Process

All four steps need to be complete before your dog's first reservation.

1

Online Enrollment

Create a profile in our online booking software. We'll use it to track your dog's details, your release forms, and your reservation history.

2

Vaccines

Text, email, or upload current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP; DHLPP with Leptospirosis is also accepted), and Bordetella records. Bordetella booster every 6 months for daycare or boarding. Dogs must wait 48 hours after any vaccine before their first appointment.

3

Temperament Test

A one-time evaluation, free of charge, that takes about 4 hours and begins with a visual health check on arrival. We assess leash handling, comfort with staff, dog-to-dog interactions, play style, feeding behavior, and overall health and body language so we can match your dog to the right group. To keep boarding access, dogs need to come in for a paid daycare day at least once every 3 months.

4

Reservations

Once you're approved, you can book online through your portal. We recommend reserving early for weekends and holidays — those fill up first.

Reservation Policies

Booking & Cancellations

  • Space cannot be guaranteed without an online reservation.
  • Check-in and check-out happen during business hours. Holiday hours are posted separately.
  • Last boarding drop-off is 4:30 PM, so we can settle everyone into evening kennel routines.
  • No-shows or cancellations within 72 hours of the reservation: $25 fee, charged to the card on file.
  • Late pickup beyond a 24-hour boarding increment: a daycare fee is added for the extra time.
  • Reservations of 14 days or longer require a 50% deposit at check-in.
  • All release forms must be signed before a reservation is booked.

Payment

  • We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash.
  • We don't keep change on hand — please bring exact amounts if paying in cash.
  • Returned check fee: $25.
  • A medication administration fee applies when we give your dog medications.

Late Pickup Fees

If you can't make it back in time, just call us — we'll take good care of your dog. Late pickups are billed as follows:

  • Pickup after closing (same day): $[TBD] late fee
  • Pickup beyond a 24-hour boarding increment: one additional daycare day ($38)
  • Unscheduled overnight (no notice): $[TBD] plus the boarding night rate

Placeholder amounts — confirm the exact late-fee schedule before publishing (mirror the Parkland chart).

Holiday Hours & Pricing

We're closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Around major holidays our hours may be reduced and a holiday rate may apply — these fill up first, so reserve early. Current holiday hours and pricing are posted each season; call 831-920-1487 for the latest.

Add the seasonal holiday hours and any holiday surcharge here once confirmed.

Health & Vaccinations

  • All guests must be in good health.
  • Dogs who have been sick within the past 30 days cannot be admitted.
  • Vaccinations required: Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) — DHLPP, which adds Leptospirosis, is also accepted — and Bordetella. Bordetella booster every 6 months.
  • Dogs must wait 48 hours after any vaccination before attending.
  • Effective flea and tick preventative required — we track and verify prevention for every guest.
  • If your dog has an autoimmune condition or another medical condition that prevents a required vaccine, contact us before scheduling so we can determine whether accommodations can be made.
  • Medications can be administered (oral, topical, insulin) up to three times per day. A medication administration fee applies.

Who We Cannot Accept

  • Unaltered (intact) males — not permitted in group play, regardless of age.
  • Dogs with a bite history toward dogs or staff.
  • Female dogs in heat.
  • Puppies under 16 weeks (must have 16-week shots).
  • Dogs with terminal late-stage illness or who are fragile elderly.
  • Dogs recently adopted from a shelter (30-day waiting period at home before joining us).
  • Dogs needing complex medical care (drains, bandage changes, sutures) unless pre-approved.

Behavior

Our setup requires that every dog can be safely handled for feeding, play time, and kennel cleaning. Behavior that may end boarding or daycare privileges includes growling, snapping, biting, severe stress (uncontrollable barking, drooling, property destruction), or persistent bullying. We'll always discuss concerns with you first and recommend training or behavior options where they make sense.

What to Bring

  • Your dog's regular food, in pre-portioned bags. Keeping their diet steady prevents upset tummies.
  • Any medications, vitamins, or supplements (clearly labeled).
  • A familiar bed or favorite toy if it helps your dog settle in (optional).

Risks Disclosure

Group play in any setting carries some inherent risk — minor injuries from rough-and-tumble play happen occasionally, and even vaccinated dogs can catch canine cough (Bordetella) since the vaccine reduces but doesn't eliminate the risk. Our screening process and constant supervision minimize both, and we'll always loop you in if anything comes up during your dog's stay.
